Wear a Ban

M6 Meeting

Dec 10, 2010

M6 Meeting in Neuchatel, Switzerland
The second Consortium meeting of the project Wear-a-BAN: Unobtrusive wearable human-to-machine wireless interface, took place on the 18th-19th of November 2010, in Neuchatel Switzerland. The meeting was hosted by CSEM, who is also Technical Manager of the project.
The meeting proved particularly important for the progress of the technical work, since it provided a thorough insight into the developments achieved so far, particularly in the areas of sensors and antenna design. The partners had a chance to participate not only in presentations of each Work Package but also in specialized workshops which dealt particularly with different aspects of technical specifications and design.
A special workshop on Dissemination and Exploitation issues was also presented, as the IPR owners of the project’s results will have to define their purposes post-project in relation to result exploitation. The Coordinator in cooperation with the Exploitation Manager provided presentations and initiated a discussion on upcoming deliverables concerning exploitation and dissemination, in order to set internal deadlines among the consortium.
The meeting closed with success and with important steps achieved so as to prepare for the next 6 months, which will be crucial, as the project will be soon concluding its first year of operation in May 2011.

The Wear-a-BAN project has received funding form the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (Capacities, Research for the Benefit of SME Associations) managed by REA – Research Executive Agency under Grant Agreement No. 243473.
